The following is a description of some of the key aspects (by no means exhaustive) of my current role.
Hire, train, supervise, direct, evaluate, and coach a large (60+ undergraduate and 3 professional) and diverse WTMC tutoring staff; assist in supervising other Campus-wide Tutoring student staff
Manage the daily operations of the WTMC and coordinate student access to other Campus-wide Tutoring locations and services
Contribute to the achievement of the College's retention goals for students by working with faculty, academic departments, Deans, and other stakeholders
Develop and implement systems for monitoring the academic performance and progress of students over the course of their Merrimack College career
Compile reports including but not limited to, weekly tutoring attendance reporting and statistical data on the effectiveness of tutoring in terms of student success and retention
Create work schedules for 60+ undergraduate tutors and 3 part time professional tutors, and create, review and approve/submit their timesheets every two weeks
Ensure student and tutor compliance with College academic integrity policies; set policies regarding tutoring approach, comportment of tutors, etc.; develop and maintain regular data entry protocols for tutors to facilitate assessment of the effectiveness of tutoring
Communicate regularly with instructors of the courses with which the WTMC offers help to ensure that the WTMC is following individual course policies and meeting the needs and expectations of the students and instructors
Interview students, especially those who face learning challenges and/or are at-risk, to assess learning style, strengths and weaknesses, academic concerns, approaches to learning and processing information to assist them in developing individual study plans
Ensure that the WTMC is hiring the best possible staff by considering factors such as course grades, instructor recommendations, communication skills, attitude, previous tutoring experience, and lived experience
Recruit, schedule, train and supervise tutors in conformance with nationally-recognized best practices (modeled on CRLA ITTPC certification); work with department representatives to design and carry out meaningful training activities for the tutors
Create and prioritize opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to serve as peer leaders, towards the promotion of an inclusive learning environment for all students in order to foster a positive, collaborative, student-centered environment that engenders learning and understanding

I'm creating a LinkedIn Learning Peer Educator training course sequence for Merrimack College. The level one training, modeled on the College Reading and Learning Association's ITTPC curriculum, was administered succesfully this fall (2021). The level two training is in progress
